Fantastic! Fantastic! A direct parallel can be drawn between the four ivory bodies in the geopolitical sector where each one is mirroring a continent with its own struggles yet all connected by the same notion of creation, that underneath the vague exterior behind size color and contemporary appearance all is made from the same matter. The decline of western civilization embodied in but a few artistically expressed captions underlying the monumental captivity across the great mystery of life, the one and undeniable truth that all will perish, that from the shadows and the dust the vision may arise and once it reaches the purpose, all but to entertain the curious masses, it will once more return to dust or in this extraordinary case, dihydrogen monoxide. One need only glance at the shadows followed through this tragedy in probably four acts (only three available to this very day survive) to witness the transcended magnitude in which the bodies seem to reveal. The installation offers a simple reminder to the audience, that we are all composed of brief moments full of emotion and ingenuity, that we just like candles flicker and fade, and as the Bard proclaimed: “Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing”.
Encore! Encore! The audience cries!
