Palazzo della Pilotta -by morfeas9

The Palazzo della Pilotta is a complex of edifices in the historical centre of Parma, northern Italy. Its name derives from the game of pelota.–>Pelota (Spanish for ball) can refer to the popular and shortened names for a number of ball games, such as baseball or basque pelota.–>Pelota in Basque and Catalan or pelote in French (from Latin pila) is a name for a variety of court sports played with a ball using one’s hand, a racket or a wooden bat.–>Suggestion: Pick up the wooden bat and go out into fresh air, socialise with more than JUST another 3 people at a time.–>Belote is a 32-card trick-taking game played in France, and is currently the most popular card game in that country. It was invented around 1920, probably from Klaverjassen, a game played since at least the 1600s in the Netherlands.
